I've made two quizzes on English counties. The first is a case of identifying all the officially-registered flags of the 39historic counties, with up to ten minutes to try and get them all. Hats off to anybody who can get anywhere near to 100% correct. Some of them are certainly easier than others, and there is one (very close to home) that has been guessed a scandalously low amount so far - just 7% at the time of typing this. The overall average score is only 7 out of 39, so anything above that is good! The answers must be entered into the corresponding yellow boxes and if you are stuck on one particular flag you can move on to another. Abbreviations are allowed for some counties.
The other quiz is a quick one on the sixmetropolitan counties of England. These are the ones that cover large built-up areas and were only formed in the last 50 years or so from bits of pre-existing counties. There are two minutes to try and get them all. There is one notable omission which I had thought was a metropolitan county but it apparently isn't.
